And here I am, again, finding my old blog many years later - seeking Ken Leech and finding another blog

and I am here after searching for Rev.Kenneth Leech to share my connection with him to my new husband. I share of an old friend who I worked with in Tower Hamlets and cared for before he died, and of missing a friend and needing his support now during the war in Ukraine, to assist and guide me, who was my sponsor, who told me about my tears at the Gospel, about 'tears in prayer' who was everything grassroots and good and an inspiration to the young youth worker in me, fighting against racism and fascism in East London. I called to ask him to 'marry me' in 2012, and he'd laughed and said 'he'd have to ask the bishop to come out of retirement' - but came with his later wife Julie and led the prayers at the wedding to my late husband ( as seen in his photo ) who I miss so very much in these troubling times, and this blog post with his words and this research are an introduction to him for my new husband in San Francisco ... and I am now able to search for the places he'd been here, and the people he met and the work he did here, the talks he had at the churches and gatherings he attended and I will still miss him and know more of him and find new people to discuss the peace and resistance, the poetry and the action that can occur, may occur and I will pray and cry and pray and be led and write and take to the streets, or on Zoom to do poetry in my later widowed years and bring what I can, do what I can, as I am led by God and through the tears for the world, I am to write and find others, writers, poets, resisters and help and hope and bring peace and solace where we can, in Ukraine, with Ukraine, with Pen America, and Pen Ukraine and across the globe, with countries and writer, empathy and prayer.

and I'm glad to have found this and see my old writings of Ken, and other things that I found of some import.

I am ready to write again. not just on my facebook page, but on this blog and today I will begin, my writings on Ukraine, and war and peace and comfort and poetry and prayer and I reach out to others that want to do the same, and I search for others that want to do the same - and I am here.
